I have made two limited edition prints available for sale. The first is titled Little One from my Deeply Embedded series. These are prints that I originally made unavailable for sale and put aside for art auctions, family & archival purposes. 100% of the proceeds will go to Haitian relief. I plan to divide funds between Zanmi Lasante, Sow a Seed, and For The Kids of Haiti. These are trusted organizations recommended by Haitian Ladies Network (and my dear friend & stylist Isabelle Philogene) and are able to deliver help immediately and directly to affected communities. I am not affiliated or partnered with either organization.
This listing is for:

About the series:
Deeply Embedded was created during a time where I continued to come across negativity centered around natural black hair & styles. Anger followed by frustration and sadness forced me to refocus that energy into creating work to speak for me as our words fell upon deaf ears.
The production of this series involved the use of photographs taken across Africa (c1901) from a project titled "Africa Through The Lens" via the National Archives superimposed into my subjects amplified coils and curls. Antique batik patterns were repurposed and montaged over neutral tones to create wardrobe.
